October kicks off big wine deals

October is a good month for wine.
Tutto Bene Wine & Cheese Cellar on Prescott Street in downtown Lowell is offering a month-long promotion of a 25 percent discount on each 12-bottle case purchased. Proprietor Richard “Ricardo” Rourke says customers can mix and match from any products in the store. Other discounts are also available on 3- and 6-bottle purchases through October.
At Andover Classic Wines in the Shawsheen Plaza, a new selection of craft beers, wine and spirits are in stock, reports Andrea DiFiore. Go to the store’s website (wine@andoverliquors.com) for a schedule of tasting events. Also, DiFiore says two new self-serve wine tasting stations have been installed for classic customer convenience.
On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Wine ConneXtion in North Andover will feature a tasting of wines from the Michael David Winery in Lodi, Calif., from 1-5 p.m. A year ago, David Phillips of the two-brother partnership presented wines to a capacity crowd, and this year Michael Phillips will do the honors. If you go, don’t miss the Petit Petit which recently scored 94 points from Wine Enthusiast. This juicy red will be on sale for $12.99 on Saturday.
